This open ring is a  twisted match stick with one end burnt. Hand crafted from solid sterling silver. The burnt/live match pieces are one of David McLeod's iconic series.

David McLeod is now based in the Manawatū, having moved up the country from Dunedin. He is a well established contemporary jeweller. His work is characterised by strong and simple design, with a twist of wry humour.  Bold settings with beautiful stones either semi precious or locally sourced shell, set with a lush 22ct yellow gold rim in sturdy and beautifully made sterling setting bases. David McLeod’s jewellery is unafraid to be simple, creating a quiet statement.
