This delicate pendant is individually hand-crafted by Adele Stewart using oxidised silver and vitreous glass enamels to create the colour on the wings. Each top-wing is also set with a tiny black diamond. An absolute treasure to be handed down as an heirloom piece. The craft of using vitreous enamels to apply luminous colour to metal jewellery is a painstaking process but well worth the effort when you get such magical necklaces as this!
This detailed moth is articulated - the wings can be gently closed or opened.
Chain length is 45cm and the Moth is approximately 35mm by 25mm depending on if the wings are open or closed.

Adele Stewart is a jeweller working from her tiny home on the west coast of the South Island of Aotearoa NZ. A trained gem setter as well as an amazing enamellist, Adele brings her love of nature, flowers and colour to life for you to wear in her precious jewels! A cute fact - Adele is a bee-keeper’s daughter… no surprises where her love of insects and flowers comes from!
Her gorgeous NZ jewellery range of tiny native flowers, beautifully hand coloured with glass enamels is a firm crowd pleaser. Tiny stud earrings that can be worn everyday, or delicate pendants to dress up a simple formal outfit, any one, any age, can fall in love with these.
