The Tuna is the long-finned eel, and is a threatened species. It's habitat is under pressure from environmental impacts from industry and farming. Human activity and population so often encroaches on these delicate natural habitats. With more information and awareness, efforts are being made to take care for the ongoing survival of this and other unique species. 

We have a ring size R in stock at our Wellington gallery - but these rings can be made to order in any size. Ring size options are listed above. Made to order sizes take approximately 2-4 weeks to make.

Vaune Mason is based on the Kāpiti coast. Her detailed carved animals are most often reproduced in glowing bronze, silver and gold, and every now and then, in recycled native timbers, stone or bone. Vaune also loves to make beautiful be-jewelled pieces that look worthy of a treasure hunters' hoard. Her inspiration comes from the things that surround her in nature. Her style is strong, archaic and feminine.
