This layered and tapered ring is hand-crafted in sterling silver with a bright finish by Buster Collins.
Matariki is celebrated in Aotearoa New Zealand when the constellation widely known as Pleiades rises above the horizon in midwinter. For Māori this marks the start of the new year and the brightness of the stars is traditionally used as an indicator of the coming season’s crop. The Matariki star cluster is sometimes portrayed as seven stars, and sometimes as 9 stars.
